Obituary for Lillias Schuman

South Plainfield – Lillias Schuman, 80, died suddenly Thursday, November 9, 2017 at JFK Medical Center, Edison.

Born in Sullivan’s Island South Carolina, Lillias grew up in Brooklyn and resided in Linden for a short time before settling to South Plainfield 50 years ago.

A graduate of Bloomfield College, Lillias worked as an accountant for Mobil Chemicals until her retirement. She enjoyed taking trips to the casinos with the South Plainfield Seniors.

Lillias was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.

Predeceased by her husband who died last month, Louis Schuman; surviving are her three children, Reina Schuman, Carla Butler and Louis Schuman III. She will also be missed by his five grandchildren, Angela, Louis IV, Daren, Queen and Keri.

Family and friends may gather for visitation on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 2-5PM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080.
