

Obituary of Robert J. Graf
Robert J. Graf, 66, of South Plainfield, passed away beside his family in Florida on March 8, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with diabetes.
Born on June 16, 1958, Robert dedicated his life to his community, spending his career working for the South Plainfield Department of Public Works. He was a passionate supporter of the South Plainfield wrestling community, always cheering on the athletes and contributing to their success.
Beyond his professional and civic dedication, Robert found strength and purpose in the GA community, where he was not only a member but a mentor and friend to many. He was proud of the bonds he built and the lives he touched within that group.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, John and Claire Graf, sister Joann Graf, and his brother John Graf Jr. He is survived by his loving siblings, Rudy Graf, Cathy Russo, and Jim Graf. He also leaves behind a large and devoted family, including his seven nieces, one nephew, seventeen great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great-niece.
Robert’s legacy of kindness, resilience, and dedication to his community will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday March 18, 2025, beginning 10:30am at Sacred Heart RC Church, 149 South Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080.
Family and friends may gather together for visitation on Monday March 17, 2025, from 3-8pm at the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080.
