

Obituary of Marion Pulsfort
Marion (Fenton) Pulsfort, 92, of South Plainfield, NJ passed peacefully into eternal life at home on March 12, 2025. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 52 years, Joseph F. Pulsfort.
The daughter of William and Anna Fenton, she was born in Newark and was raised in Hillside, NJ. She had been a resident of South Plainfield since 1961.
Marion spent her life enjoying the blessings of her family. She is survived by her children, Kathleen Slavoski and husband Bill of Bethlehem, PA, Joseph and wife Francine of Pittstown, Linda McKnight and husband Kevin of Oxford and Michael of Hillsborough, and by grandchildren Bill and wife Alana, Kristin and husband Christopher, Jessica, Joseph, Kimberly and fiancé Ronald, Steven, and 3 great grandchildren Brienna, Barrett and Madelyn.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Mary Ann Pulsfort and siblings John Fenton, Elaine Fenton and William Fenton.
After graduating from Hillside High School, Marion started working for American Insurance as an Underwriter. She later joined Hanover Insurance in Piscataway, where she worked until her retirement.
An avid beach lover, she enjoyed countless trips to the Jersey Shore as well as summers spent on family vacations in Cape Cod. Marion was also a fan of a wide variety of music, attending live concerts by Neil Diamond, Lionel Ritchie and Cher well into her 80’s. For many years she bowled in various leagues and enjoyed time spent in her garden and tending to her flowers. She was frequently seen during her walks in Spring Lake Park.
Marion was a long-time parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. She was active within the South Plainfield Senior Center and looked forward to their day trips and especially the monthly trips to the Wind Creek Casino.
Visitation will be held at McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 8:30am until 10:00am. A funeral mass will follow at Sacred Heart Church, 149 South Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield beginning at 10:30am.
Entombment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum, also in South Plainfield. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Marion’s name to Stein Hospice, Somerset, NJ or the South Plainfield Senior Center.
