

Obituary of Jacqueline Marie Dietzel
Green Brook, NJ – Jacqueline Marie (Apadula) Dietzel, 71, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on Sunday, April 6, 2025. Born in Somerville to the late Daniel and Bertha (Koyke) Apadula, Jackie grew up in Bridgewater NJ and Bradenton, FL.
Jackie attended Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL and Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg, NJ where she graduated with an Associate Degree in Business. For over twenty years, she was employed at Ethicon in Bridgewater, NJ.
After her marriage to John Dietzel in 1978, Jackie and John moved to Green Brook and spent many weekends and summers at their beach house in Forked River. She belonged to the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Somerville but would often attend mass near her family in Hunterdon County at Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale. She loved working outside in her yard and spending time with her husband. Jackie enjoyed being at the shore and loved to be with her family, especially her niece and nephew.
She was kind, caring, and was someone who always put everyone else first. Jackie was predeceased by her husband, John J. Dietzel, former Green Brook Police Officer, and her parents; Bertha and Daniel Apadula.
Jackie leaves behind her loving siblings; Daniel Apadula of Blandon, PA, William Apadula of Kutztown, PA and Victoria Apadula-Marek and her husband Robert of Glen Gardner as well as her niece, Madison and nephew Jullian.
On Thursday, April 10, 2025, family and friends are invited to gather from 5pm – 8pm at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 and on Friday, April 11, 2025 beginning at 8:45am.
Prayers will begin at 9:15am in the funeral home followed by a 10:00am funeral mass at Immaculate Conception Church, 35 Mountain Avenue, Somerville, NJ 08876. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery located in New Brunswick.
Jackie had a love for children and helping others. In lieu of flowers please continue her passion by sending a donation in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to your local food bank.
