Some of our best memories were shared with Brian as a teacher and friend. We will carry his memory in the jokes we crack and the smiles they create.

I met Brian at Edison Family Restaurant many years ago when I worked there as a hostess. My youngest child was a student at JP Stevens and was going through a rough time and when I told Brian about him, he offered to pull my son aside and try to assist him and put him back on a good road. His kindness will always be remembered and appreciated. You will always be in my prayers, Brian as will your wife and daughter. You are no longer in pain, are set free and in Jesus's loving arms. Rest in Peach, Brian.

I practice tai chi with Brian for ten years. Stopped practicing when I moved. Recently I started practicing again due to medical reasons. All of Brian’s teaching came back to me. Tai chi has stopped the progression of my ailment, so I will always be in Brian’s world. He literally extended my life. Im sorry I won’t be able to attend the viewing, but my prayers and thoughts go out to his family. Kenny Demko

Here are some Old School pictures that I thought everyone would like. Brian and I were a little rough around the edges those days. But we were very close back in the day even though I think Gail always wanted to punch me in the head. i’m going to miss very much having his energy on this planet.

I first met Brian working at Maria's Brunch, where we bonded over music and I learned that he and his friend would sing songs from "Oklahoma" while working a construction site. Brian's boundless joy and kindness will be missed immensely. Sending my deepest condolences to the O'Connor family.

Brian wasn’t just a wonderful colleague and teacher to my daughter and so many others — he was always a truly kind and generous person. This is a photo when I bumped into him at Lowe’s. Regretting that we never arranged that lunch.

Mr.O'Connor, you supported me and made me feel seen at a time in my life when such a thing felt overwhelmingly impossible. You made such a profound impact on my life and so so so many others. You were the toughest and happiest most incredible human being. You will be so insanely missed. Thank you for being the adult I needed but didn't have. I'm so grateful to have had the privilege of knowing and loving you ❤️ rest easy.

Mr.Oconnor was an amazing teacher. Went above and beyond for me and is truly the reason I passed highschool. He was incredibly funny and caring and could always brighten anyone’s day. I had the privilege of keeping in touch with him after I graduated, I went to lunch with him about a year and a half ago and am so glad I did. One of the last conversations I had with him was when my 11 month old puppy passed away from acute leukemia and he reached out to tell me how sorry he was and how guilty he felt for surviving a very similar cancer. That’s the kind of wonderful person he was, put everyone above himself. I want to thank his family for sharing such a wonderful soul with all of us and I would like to give my greatest condolences. I have attached some silly photos of him from when I was in highschool to hopefully make everyone smile.

I am so sorry to hear Brian has passed. He was a kind. Sincere, understanding ,compassionate man. He was my daughters teacher from the past. She wasn't doing so well in his class, 1st class in the morning and he worked with me on it. I was so appreciative of his understanding . He touched whoever he met, he will be remembered for his caring kind ways. To me, he stood out as a teacher. He will be missed.
