Obituary of Theresa Byrne
Piscataway, NJ – Theresa Ann (Urbaniak) Byrne, 90, passed away in the early hours of May 4, 2025 at Parker at Somerset Senior Healthcare in Somserset. Born in Bayonne to the late George and Sophie (Nabrdalik) Urbaniak, Terry has been a resident of Piscataway since 1967.
She spent her time as a housewife caring for her family and formerly, Terry worked as a teacher. Terry belonged to the Travelling Seniors, the South Plainfield Elks #2298 and was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Piscataway. Terry could often be found in Atlantic City enjoying the slot machines, loved playing bingo and once a week, she had to have her hair meticulously set.
Predeceased by her husband Richard in 2019, Terry leaves behind her son Richard with whom she lived and daughter Tracey Miller and her husband Jeff as well as grandchildren; Paige and Samantha and her siblings, Susan and Frank.
Visitation will be held at McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 4pm until 7pm and on Saturday, May 10, 2025 beginning 9:30am. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 10:00am followed by a 10:30am funeral mass at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church. Terry will be laid to rest with her husband at Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum in South Plainfield.
