Dearest Larry, I am so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Betty. Larry, I have loved knowing you and Betty for all these years in the Transcultural Nursing Society. What an incredible person, nurse, and friend Betty was to so many. I have admired Betty's incredible work, her passion for serving veterans and all people, and the way she lived out her faith in practical, impactful ways.
The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning. Lamentations 3:22-23 New Living Translation.
Larry, sending you love and prayers and asking our Lord to cover you with his comfort and strength.
Love, Sandy Mixer

Betty and I were classmates at Summit schools. I remember her loving heart. Becoming a nurse was no surprise to me. That’s who she was, loving and giving.
She and I planned to get together with another classmate when I came back to New Jersey from Tennessee, in October for a family wedding.
I was stunned to hear of her passing.
May she rest in peace. I will hold Betty, and all whom she loved, in my thoughts and prayers.

Bettty loved the beach, friends and family. Maybe in that order. She had a great sense of humor and a beautiful smile. Her heart was so full of life. She didn't have any sisters except of us sisters in law. I always will call her my sister.
