Obituary of Boneta A. Didas
Boneta A. Didas, 80, of Somerset, NJ, passed away June 7th, 2025, peacefully while under hospice care.
Born in Wayland, NY, January 28,1945, she was the daughter of the late DeMerle and Gladys Weber.
Affectionately known to her grandchildren as “Mema,” and “Bonnie” to her many friends and former co-workers, she was both a loving and attentive mother and grandmother, and a caring friend. With over 20 years of dedicated service, Bonnie retired in 2014 from the registrar’s office with the Medical School at Rutger’s University. Bonnie belonged to the Neocatechumenal Community of St. Mary’s in Plainfield and for a time was a Eucharistic Adorer at Our Lady of Fatima in Piscataway.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, Ronald E. Didas, her brother, Clark Weber, and daughter-in-law, Catherine Didas.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving son and daughter, Bryan Didas and wife Jennifer of Bumpass, VA, and Beth Piepoli and husband Michael of Piscataway, NJ; 4 grandchildren, Adam, Daniel and wife Katherine, Michaela and fiancée Randy, and Grace Piepoli. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and leaves behind several dear friends.
Bonnie’s life was a testament to her selfless nature and devotion to her family, her friends, and her faith. Anyone whose life she touched with her kindness will miss her dearly.
The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway NJ 08854 from 4PM – 8PM.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 9:30AM in the Piscataway Funeral Home, following is a funeral mass at 10:30AM in St. Mary’s RC Church, Plainfield.
