Obituary of John F Giuliano
John F. Giuliano, 93, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Peaceful Pines Residence Memory Care Community in Aberdeen, NJ.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to the late Anthony and Frieda Giuliano, John graduated from high school and enlisted in the United States Navy at 18 years old. Serving during the Korean War, he spent a period of time on the USS Hollis, a Buckley-Class Destroyer Escort, before being honorably discharged in 1954.
Before enlisting, John had met Shirley Simerson, and the two would go on to be married years later in 1958. Following his discharge, they two briefly resided in White House, NJ, where they had met, before settling in Middlesex, NJ in 1957. John has been a resident of the Borough since.
John briefly worked for Johns Manville before continuing his life of service. After serving his country in the Navy, he decided to serve his community at home, and joined the Middlesex Police force in 1963. After 26 years, John retired from the department as a Captain in 1989.
Although he was a policeman full-time, John had a passion for woodworking. Whether it was building homes, furniture or cabinetry, he found the time outside of work to build on his woodworking skills. He also enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles. Everything from his Harleys to the 1956 Oldsmobile he restored, John seemingly knew how to do it all. When he wasn’t working on the cars, he spent time with his car club going to car shows throughout the area. Not only did he know how to do as much as he did, he was good at it. Above all else, it was knowing that his passions and skills of building and repairing thing were passed down to not only his children, but also his grandchildren, that meant the most to him.
Predeceased by his wife, Shirley (nee Simerson) Giuliano and children, Stanley Giuliano, Anthony Giuliano, Deborah Zabita, and Jerome Giuliano, John is survived by his two sons, Keith Giuliano and his wife Christina and John Giuliano and his wife Susan. He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Jacob, Jesse, Hanna, Jonathan, and Sarah,; his two great grandchildren, as well as a host of extended relatives and friends.
A private graveside service will take place at Rural Hill Cemetery in White House, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the Giuliano family has asked that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, in John’s name.
