Joseph F. Pulsfort South Plainfield, NJ - Joseph F. Pulsfort, 75, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Newark to his late parents Joseph T. and Victoria (Farsky), Joseph has been a resident of South Plainfield since 1961. In 1992, Joseph retired as a Supervisor from Exxon Research and Engineering Company after thirty-five years of service, and was a member of their Annuitant Club. Joseph served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman who shared his passion for the sport with all those around him. His legacies include his love of family, compassion, loyalty, enjoyment of music, strong work ethic and quest for adventure. Joseph was a member of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Known to all as a generous family man, he is survived by his devoted wife of fifty-one years, Marion (Fenton) Pulsfort, his loving children: Kathleen Slavoski and her husband Bill of Bethlehem Township, PA, Joseph and his wife Francine of Pittstown, Linda McKnight and her husband Kevin of Oxford and Michael and his wife Mary Ann of Hillsborough and by his cherished grandchildren: Bill, Kristin, Jessica, Kimberly, Joe and Steven. He also leaves behind his brother: Richard of Perth Amboy, Donald of Scotch Plains, Gerald of Chapel Hill, NC and sister Marianne, along with many nieces and nephews all of whom will miss him dearly. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 beginning 9:15 AM in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00am funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation in the funeral home on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Wednesday from 8:45 AM until the service time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
