Vincent H. Trindell South Plainfield - Vincent H. Trindell, 83, died on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the East Orange Veterans Administration Medical Center. Born in Morristown, NJ, he had resided in Summit before settling to South Plainfield in 1950. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army, serving in the European Theater before his discharge in 1946. A builder by trade, Vincent worked as a local self employed building contractor for many years before retiring 20 years ago. Vincent has been a long time, faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in South Plainfield where he also assisted with the feast of St. Anthony. As a past post commander, Vincent was also member of the South Plainfield Veteran of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #6763 and enjoyed spending time golfing for many years. His wife beloved wife Gisela died in January of 2006, he is also predeceased by his brother, Bernard " Bud" Trindell. . Surviving are his two dear daughters, Gisela T. Matthews and her husband Tony and Katherine Kalba and her husband John all of Florida. His sister in law, Joan Trindell, his niece Judy & his two nephews, Jimmy & David. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 21, 2007 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funeral, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle's Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the funeral home. Donation in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2600 US Highway #1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902 or to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 807 Hamilton Blvd., South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
