Obituary of Edna D Adoptante

North Plainfield - Edna Luna Dulla Adoptante, 63, passed away suddenly on Sunday March 26, 2017 at her home in Edison. Born in the Philippines, Edna came to the United States in 1986 where she lived in South Plainfield for a short time and settled to North Plainfield to reside and raise her family. She recently moved to Edison. Edna has been working as a Registered Nurse for the Veterans Administration in Lyons. Her life and devotion of helping others began many years ago and could be easily identified by those around her. She not only worked for the V.A., but worked at Green Brook Manor Nursing Home and done private Home Health Care. She was an active and longtime member of the First Baptist Church of South Plainfield, where she served as a Deaconate member and a member of the church choir. Her life of putting others first will be forever cherished by her surviving family; husband of 35 years, Lamberto, three children; Shanie, Kristia and Brett. She also leaves behind several siblings, Vic in California, Eda in Thailand, Emma, Herman, Emily, Eva and Cezar in the Philippines. Her sister, Linda, is pre-deceased. Also surviving is many extend family and friends. Funeral Services will begin on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 9:30 AM in the First Baptist Church of South Plainfield, 201 Hamilton Blvd., South Plainfield NJ 07080. Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 7-9 Pm, Friday from 6-9 Pm and Saturday from 8:30 Am until 9:00 Am in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home for Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Burial and committal services will take place in Hillside Cemetery of Samptown, 1400 New Market Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory may be made to the First Baptist Church of South Plainfield.
