Obituary of Mildred A. Sofield

South Plainfield, NJ - Mildred A. (Munch) Sofield, 84, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2016 at JFK Hartwyck at Cedar Brook in Plainfield. Born in Edison to her late parents Richard and Anita (Rolfe) Munch, she has lived in Spotswood and Piscataway before moving to South Plainfield in 1975. As a homemaker, Mildred enjoyed spending time with her family and was a longtime member of Cedarcroft Bible Chapel in South Plainfield. Predeceased by her brother Richard, she leaves behind her loving husband Thomas, son Bill Sofield and his wife Traci of South Plainfield, daughter Tracey Sofield of Langhorne, PA, sister Beverly Pietruszka and her husband Ray of Florida and granddaughter Katie Sofield of South Plainfield Visitation will take place in McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 1-4 pm and on Monday, October 3, 2016 beginning 9:30 am. Funeral services will begin 10:00 am in the funeral home on Monday, October 3, 2016 with Kingsley Baehr officiating. Burial will take place following the services at Hillside Cemetery in Metuchen.
