Obituary of Geraldine P. Lima

Geraldine P. Lima, 91, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Haven Hospice located within JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in South Plainfield to her late parents John and Stella (Genevese) Paladino, she has been a lifelong resident of the borough. Geraldine retired from the Birchwood Convalescent Center in Edison where she worked as an L.P.N. She had a passion for arts and crafts, enjoyed gardening and loved taking trips to Atlantic City with the seniors. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel who died in 2012 and two siblings; Katherine Smith and Joseph Paladino. She is survived by two daughters; Deborah Erceg and her husband Guy of Hillsborough and Kathy Appello of South Plainfield and three grandsons, Vincent, Brandon and Daniel. Visitation will take place in McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 3-7pm and on Friday, September 30, 2016 beginning 1:00 pm. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Friday, September 30, 2016 beginning 1:30 pm with burial to follow at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
