Obituary of Michael John Mocerino

Michael Mocerino, Sr. 61, of Dunellen passed away on April 10, 2017 at his home. Born to the late Leonard and Rosina (Carlucci) Mocerino, he was raised in South Plainfield before settling in Dunellen. At the age of sixteen Michael started doing masonry, and devoted his career to his craft and owned and operated M&M Construction out of Dunellen where he was renowned as a fine Italian craftsman for over 40 years. Michael was the former owner of the Courtyard in Metuchen where his natural talent for cooking was showcased, before getting back to his true passion of masonry work. He enjoyed sharing his love for cooking and the quality time spent with his family and friends He was preceded in death by his dear sister Kathleen Mocerino. Surviving are his loving children, Lisa Krachun and husband Philip, Michael Mocerino, Jr., and Jennifer Mocerino, his cherished grandchildren, Lucas Cordova and Philip Krachun, the mother of his children, Cindy Mocerino, his girlfriend Karen Nicastro, and his siblings, extended family, and friends. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00PM on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the funeral home with cremation to be held privately.
