Obituary of Frances S. White-McGarr

Bridgewater, NJ - Frances S. (Zelasny) White-McGarr, 84, entered into eternal life on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at her residence located within the Brandywine Assisted Living. Born in New Boston, PA to her late parents Joseph and Helen (Mruk) Zelasny, she lived in Middlesex before settling to Piscataway where she raised her family. Later in life, Frances moved to Sterling Village in Piscataway and has spent the last four years at Brandywine Living at Middlebrook Crossing located in Bridgewater. As a homemaker, she loved Polka music and dancing and she enjoyed baking, cooking and playing bingo. Frances was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Piscataway and belonged to their Rosary Altar Society. She enjoyed spending time working the voting booths and was on the Board of Elections. Besides her parents, Frances is predeceased by her first husband Francis White, second husband Frank McGarr, her son Stephen J. White and her three siblings; Edward and Frank Zelasny and Cecelia Barron. Frances leaves behind her loving and devoted family; children; Edward F. White and Janet of South Bound Brook, Michael T. White and Leonarda of Manchester, NJ, Joseph W. White and Debbie of Somerset, Ann Marie Yotter of Columbus, OH, Frank T. White of Mt. Solon, VA, Thomas J. White of Raritan, Joan T. Donnelson of Piscataway, Barbara J. Station and Thomas of Mt. Solon, VA and David P. White and Karen of Bridgewater, siblings; Theresa Fulton of Egg Harbor Township, Bernadette Smith of Basking Ridge and Joseph Zelasny of Hackettstown, twenty-three grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services will begin in Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at 9:45 am followed by a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Piscataway. Burial will follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 9:15 am until 9:45 am.
