Piscataway - Benedict A. Siragusa, Sr., 83, died Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Bridgeway Care Center in Hillsborough.
Born and raised in Newark, Benedict settled to Piscataway in 1961. He proudly served with the United States Army during the Korean War until his honorable discharge in 1962.
Prior to his retirement, he worked for Nu-Car, repairing trucks in Edison. Benedict enjoyed casinos, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
Predeceased by a son, Michael and son in law, Anthony Stanek, surviving are his wife of 59 years, Elvena (Hier); four children, Jeanne Stanek, Diane Hensal and husband Craig, Jill Mosley and husband Scott and Benedict Jr. and wife Debbie.
He will also be missed by his nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren expected this year.
