Flemington, NJ - Arlene (Worthington) Donovan, 68, entered into eternal life in the early hours of Friday, February 13, 2015 at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown. Born in East Orange to her late parents Ronald and Jane (Grader) Worthington, she grew up in North Plainfield, lived in Middlesex for thirty years and settled to Flemington fifteen years ago to be closer to her growing family. Arlene owned and operated A.D. Sales located in Middlesex for many years. As the Operator of A.D. Sales it's there where she rolled up her sleeves and was aggressively involved with every remodeling project during her career. When Arlene's adoring grandson, Alexander, was born is when she decided to stop being a work horse and made extra time to spend with her family. She always put her family first and lived everyday bringing them extreme happiness.She is predeceased by her parents and her daughter Michelle Adessa-Hoette who died in 1991.Arlene leaves behind her loving daughter Tara Portela and her husband Troy of Flemington, her grandson Alexander, brothers Gary Worthington of Flemington and Glenn Worthington and his wife Keri of Jonesborough, TN. She will be missed by her niece Denise Holland and her husband Michael of NC, nephew Glenn Worthington, Jr. of Florida and her great-nieces and nephews; Evan Holland and Courtney and Devin Worthington.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 beginning 11:00 am at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
