Obituary of Mary F. Brarens

• Mary F. Brarens, 93, of Middlesex, passed into eternal life on November 2, 2016 at CareOne of Somerset. Born and raised in Woodbridge to the late Joseph and Mary Zelenak, she went on to serve with the Red Cross as a Nurse during World War II.
• Mary was married to the late Russell Brarens and raised their family together in Perth Amboy, before settling in Middlesex in 1959.
• Mary was a member of the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Middlesex, and held true her love of Jehovah God throughout her life.
• She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whom dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed taking trips to the beach, cooking, bible study, and the quality time spent with her family.
• She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Russell Brarens, and her dear children David and Jesse Brarens, and son in law David Wilson.
• Surviving are her loving children, Mary Ellen Wilson, Ruth Samuda and husband Dermot, Suzanne Cullis, and Russell Brarens, her cherished grandchildren, Daniel (Tracy), Julie (Andy), Patricia (Mike), Thomas, Michelle (Dave), John (Sheena), and Jamie (Colin), her great-grandchildren, Kayla, Adam, Nadine (Drew), Katie (Dan), A.J., Emily, Tara, Dustin, Johnny, Joshua, Lily, and Avery, and her great-great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Ryan, Dallas, and Mckenna, her dear siblings, Irene Santora and husband Joe, and Zolton Zelenak, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
• Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, November 7th 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield.
• Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's memory to the South Plainfield Rescue Squad, 2520 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080
