Obituary of Daniel J. Muntone

Middlesex, NJ Daniel J. Muntone, Jr., 79, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born in Girardville, PA to his late parents Daniel Sr. and Josephine Muntone, he has been a resident of the borough since 1963.Daniel was honorably discharged from the United States Army as an MP after faithfully serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He retired as a Supervisor for Tingley Rubber Corp. located in South Plainfield.He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex and enjoyed rebuilding cars, especially his classic Mustang. Daniel loved to fish but above all things, family was first and he loved spending time with his grandchildren; especially watching them with their athletic endeavors. Surviving is his loving wife of fifty-three years, Carol (Wlodarczyk) Muntone, their devoted children; Daniel Muntone and his wife Mary of Washington and Lisa Muntone of Hillsborough and his cherished grandchildren; Samantha, Sydney and Dani.Visitation will take place in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Friday, February 20, 2015 beginning 4:00 pm with a religious service concluding the visitation at 6:45pm.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
