She married her high school sweetheart, John Loofbourrow and made her home in Westfield, NJ. Jean was a brilliant woman who loved books, gardening, crossword puzzles, puzzles and her family. She was a wonderful wife to her husband of fifty-six years, and a loving, inspiring mother and grandmother. Jean had a unique and powerful gift in life - she brought out from each person the best of themselves. Whether raising her children, teaching in Ohio or New Jersey, leading Cub Scouts, sharing beloved books with customers at her Town Book Store, or acting as a second mother to dozens of children in Westfield, NJ, Jean had a way of helping those who knew her find their passion and their confidence in life. Jean was a beloved wife, mother and "Gran", a great listener, an empathetic friend, and a great storyteller. She spent her final days watching films and holding hands with her best friend of 64 years, her husband John. She will be sorely missed.
