Gabriel Joseph Nawojczyk, 85, passed away Saturday January 24, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick NJ. Born in Brooklyn NY, he resided there before moving to Piscataway in 1956.Gabriel was a chemical engineer for St. Barnabas Hospital, Clara Maass Medical Center and St. Elizabeth Hospital for many years.Mr. Nawojczyk was preceded in death by his brother George and his sisters Lorraine, Sophie and Genevive. Gabriel is survived by his wife Irene Nawojczyk of Piscataway, whom he married on May 1, 1955. His sons Ronald Nawojczyk of NC, Daniel Nawojczyk of Union NJ and James Nowachek of Millstone Township, NJ. His daughters Diana Stevenson of FL and Carolyn Dipsey of Fairfield NJ. A sister Casmira Nawojczyk of Wayne NJ and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 8:00 am from the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 followed by a 9:30 am funeral liturgy at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Piscataway. Interment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. Visitation hours are Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
