It was a shock to learn of John's passing. I recall his name being spoken of fondly by my mother way back in the 70's. He was her broker but more importantly, he had become a trusted friend, As a widow, trying to raise children, investing as her only means of support, that trust was huge! When my husband and I married in 79, he was part of the financial decisions. With the birth of each of Catherine McMahon's grandchildren, John was the trusted adviser for their futures as well. It's hard to put into words, how integral his wisdom, and kind support was in the financial and familial relationship, he had with my mom and then for the past 38 years, with my husband, He has just 'always been there as a part of our lives. His decency, his dependability and trustworthiness will always be missed on a personal level, There is no Wright/McMahon family milestone that he was not a part of, either in celebration or in consolation. Our son will be married soon. We were just going to reach out to him for counsel. This is a deep loss to our entire extended family to which he has been a long and fondly cherished part, As the Guzy family grieves, we grieve with you. The world has lost a good and decent soul. We can be assured that heaven has gained it. You will be in our constant prayers. We ask God to comfort you in your heartbreak, allow you to feel His holy presence beside you and fill you with only the happiest memories of your years with this fine man, our friend John.
