Obituary of Doris E. Silver

Lakewood, NJ Doris E. (Kohn) Silver, 84, died on Wednesday, March 3, 2015 at Laurleton Village in Brick. Born in Newark to her late parents Daniel and Rachel (Monis) Kohn, she grew up in Irvington and lived in Livingston for twenty-five years. She then moved to Brick for twenty-five years and resided in Lakewood for the past ten years.She was a Registered Nurse, most recently employed at Griswold Special Care located in Lakewood. She is predeceased by her parents, daughter Susan Silver in 2011 and by her siblings; Marion Goldstein and Seymour Kohn.Doris leaves behind her daughters; Debra Silver and her husband David Oppel of Green Brook and Rachelle Silver of Lakewood, four grandsons; David, Keith, Eric and Jeffrey, great-granddaughter Shoshanna and by her brother Jack Kohn of FL.A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846. In lieu of flowers, donations sent to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) would be appreciated.
