Obituary of Mary C. Zelesny

Mary C. Zelesny Beloved mother, grandmother and aunt; longtime Piscataway resident Mary C. Zelesny, 91, entered into eternal life at the McCarrick Care Center in Somerset, NJ on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. Visitation will take place at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ, 08846 on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 2 to 4 PM and from 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 10 AM at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Piscataway, NJ. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway, NJ. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Mary was one of seven children of the late Wasyl and Mary Cenko. She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Anna Dzubina, Paul Cenko, Helen Cenko, John Cenko, Olga Nolan and Rose Breheney. Mary married the late John Zelesny Jr. in 1952 and they settled in Piscataway in 1960 to raise their growing family. They were married for 31 years. Her greatest joy came from doing for others - her family, her friends and the Church. Mary was known for her selfless love and humility. She is survived by her son John III, daughter Mary Dillman and her husband Pete, son Bill and his wife Chris, son Paul and his wife Fran, daughter Carol Arnott, son Richard and son Robert. Mary was blessed with twelve grandchildren - Courtney Silverthorn, Billy Zelesny, Paul Zelesny, Dan Arnott, Alyssa Anthony, Laura Dillman, Elizabeth Veltrie, Eric Dillman, Clare Zelesny, John Zelesny, Rachel Zelesny and Michael Zelesny, and one great grandchild, Olivia Anthony. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
