I worked with Al at Squibb in the early 80's. Despite our age diference, he acted a lot younger than me, we often took breaks together. Rather than a smoking break or coffee break, we often had a fruit break. We would talk and just enjoy the short leisure time it took to eat our respective fruits. One of our passions together was flying. I was still flying but he had given it up. On occation I would bicyle over from Highland Park to visit Al and Trudie.
I left Squibb in the mid 80's but called Al whenever I wanted another fruit break. I will miss those moments.
