Obituary of William Henry Bedford

William"Bill" Henry Bedford, 70, of Piscataway, passed away peacefully at home on July 12,2018. Born in Newark, NJ to the late Kenneth and Charlotte Bedford (nee Carlton), he was raised in Belleville and settled to Piscataway in 1973. Bill was a mechanic by trade for over 40 years, retiring from Penn-Bower in High Bridge five years ago. Bill enjoyed working on cars and mastering his trade. Most of all, he enjoyed the quality time spent with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert "Bobby" Bedford. Surviving are his beloved wife of 47 years, Linda Bedford (nee Thompson), his loving children, William Bedford and wife Melissa, Brian Bedford, and Cheryl Bellew and husband Jason, his cherished grandchildren, Luke, Jake, Kyra, Violette, and Krystelle, his dear siblings, Bert Bedford and wife Jolene, Joanne Giordano, Brian Bedford and wife Tamie, and Jeanne McKenna and Randy, as well as his nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Family and friends are welcome to gather for visitation on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the Middlesex Funeral Home 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex. Funeral services will begin at 7:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bill's memory to the American Cancer Society.
