Obituary of Thomas F. Jennings

Thomas F. Jennings, 90, died on Sunday, October 14, 2018. Born April 6, 1928 in Plainfield, NJ to the late George and Mary Stangle Jennings, Mr. Jennings was raised in Warren and resided in Piscataway with his wife of 56 years, Gloria, who predeceased him in 2013. He served his country during the Korean War, enlisting in 1950 and being honorably discharged in 1952. Following his enlistment, Mr. Jennings worked as a stonemason and most recently for the Piscataway Board of Education. Mr. Jennings had a passion for the outdoors which included gardening, hunting, and fishing, plus a love for pets (especially beagles). He is predeceased by his eight siblings, Alan, Dorothy, Stanley, Henry, Jerry, Georgette, Maude, and Andrew, in addition to a son-in-law, David Lucas. Mr. Jennings is survived by his two daughters, Sally Lucas of Houston, TX and Suzanne Hann with her husband Scott of Eatontown, plus four grandchildren, Austin Lucas, Ashley Hann, Heather Lucas, and Ryan Hann, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 4-8 pm in the Piscataway Funeral Home at 18 Stelton Rd. Piscataway, NJ 08854. Funeral Services will be held there on Friday, October 26, 2018 beginning at 11 am. Interment will follow at Springdale United Methodist Cemetery, Warren, NJ.
