South Plainfield, NJ - Darlene M. (Kunie) McNelly, 74, passed away in Piscataway on Friday, January 4, 2019. Born in Elizabeth to the late John and Melva (Claytor) Kunie, Darlene lived in Linden until settling to South Plainfield forty-seven years ago.
Darlene held numerous job titles over the years, but her favorite was to be a caring homemaker. She enjoyed trips to her cabin in Pennsylvania, loved to go on cruises, but her true passion in life was family; especially her grandchildren.
Predeceased by four brothers, Darlene leaves behind her husband of fifty years, Gordon, daughters; Darlene of South Carolina, Laura Lea of South Plainfield, Gordon, Jr. of California and Lloyd and his wife Aneca of South Plainfield. Darlene will be missed dearly by thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, two sisters, six brothers and her four legged companion; Kip.
At the request of the McNelly family, all services for Darlene have been made private.
