Avenel - Irene Brizak, 52, entered into eternal life on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Rahway, Irene resided in South Plainfield for many years before settling to Avenel.
Irene worked for the Department of Labor located in South Plainfield for several years.
She is predeceased by her father Steven in 1975, mother Norma (DeWolf) in 1995, brothers Charles in 2017 and Andrew in 2018, sister Patricia Zelizi in 2014, brother-in-law Ralph Ely in 2010 and sister-in-law Frances Brizak in 2014.
Irene leaves behind her brothers; James Brizak, Steven Brizak (Barbara,) George Brizak (Lori;) sisters Alice Brizak (Bob,) Lulu Raczkowski (Bucky,) Charlene Ely (Lee) and many nieces, nephews and her beloved dogs; PeeWee, Owen and Harley.
A celebration of life will be held on January 19, 2019 from 12pm-4pm at the VFW Post 3117, 49 National Road, Edison, NJ 08817. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Irene's name to The Kidney Foundation, 30 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
