Celestino T. Magno, 86, passed away at Haven Hospice located within JFK Medical Center in Edison on Monday, February 25, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Manila, Philippines to the late Paulino and Angela (Talusig) Magno, Celestino immigrated to the United States in 1976.  He resided in New York until settling to Piscataway.

 

He worked for several years at Merrill Lynch as a computer operator.  A devout catholic, Celestino was a faithful member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Piscataway.  He had a love for gardening and jogging, but truly enjoyed time with his family.

 

The last surviving sibling of thirteen, Celestino is survived by his loving family; wife Emma (Miguel) Magno whom joined hands in marriage on January 23, 1966, daughters Lorna Magno Gilbert and husband Christopher of Melbourne, Australia and Cynthia Magno Jones and her husband Richard of Piscataway, grandchildren Matthew and Kelly Gilbert along with many extended family and friends; especially his four-legged companions; Cookie and Ralph.

 

Visitation will be held at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 2-4 pm.  Family and friends are invited to gather at St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Piscataway on Saturday, March 2, 2019 for a 9:30 am funeral mass.  Mausoleum entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, also in Piscataway.
