Obituary of Anthony Eugene Guerra
Anthony Eugene Guerra, known to everyone as Tony, was born on July 24th, 1985 in Denver, Colorado. Tony was officially adopted by Eva and Jorge Guerra when he was four years old and is the youngest of four children. He graduated Southland Christian School in Kissimmee, Florida in 2003 and was a member of their basketball team for many years. Tony’s favorite sports were basketball and football and he was a loyal and proud Denver Broncos fan.
Tony’s family moved from Colorado to Florida in the 1990s and he has spent most of his life in the Kissimmee, Florida area. He was known to everyone as a gentle giant with a heart of gold. He was loving, caring, helpful, and always made a friend. He was a very lovable person and had an infectious smile that always lit up a room. In Florida, Tony was a long-time employee of Boston Lobster Feast. Throughout his years at Boston Lobster Feast, Tony made many friends with is fellow co-workers and many friends he made were also the restaurant’s customers. Tony was a great employee at Boston Lobster Feast who always made sure that his fellow co-workers and the restaurant’s customers were happy and smiling.
In 2015, Tony met Desiree Massey of Piscataway, New Jersey after she made a long-distance move to Florida. Over the years, their love grew and on April 28th, 2018, they officially became husband and wife. Wanting a better life and opportunities, Tony and Desiree moved to New Jersey where Tony started working for Embassy Suites hotel as a line cook. After one year of working at Embassy Suites, Tony accepted a position as food production cook at United Airlines, a job he was so proud to be offered.
On August 14th, 2019, at the young age of 34, Tony’s life was suddenly cut short. However, the impact that Tony had on those around him will be forever felt. His gentle soul and loving spirit are what will always stay in everyone’s hearts.
Memories will be cherished by his loving family. His wife Desiree Massey, parents Eva and Jorge Guerra, sister Mary Guerra, brother Mark Guerra, and brother Everette Guerra. Tony’s family was close-knit, and was raised alongside his niece and nephew, who he also considered to be his brother and sister. Nephew Christopher Guerra and his wife Fallon, Brittany Guerra Ruiz and husband Nelson and his one-year old niece Bella, whom he did not get the opportunity to officially meet. Tony also leaves behind a host of close friends and extended family that will forever feel the impact that he has had on their lives.
At the request of Tony’s family, all services will be private under the care of Piscataway Funeral Home.
