Obituary of Barbara S Misuraca
Piscataway, NJ – Barbara (Simon) Misuraca, 67, passed away at her home with her loving family by her side on Thursday, October 10, 2019. Born in Somerville to the late Frank and Mary (Janus) Simon, she was raised in Dunellen and has been a resident of Piscataway since 1977.
A homemaker most of her life, Barbara was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to cook and bake. A devout Catholic, she was a member of St. Frances Cabrini RC Church in Piscataway and a school teacher for sixteen years.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband Joseph; daughter Theresa; son Anthony and his wife Mitzi, and their two sons Hunter and Parker of Georgia. She is also survived by her loving sister Elizabeth Demarest and her husband Everett of South Plainfield. Barbara and Elizabeth were predeceased by their brother Frank Simon, whom they always prayed for.
Visitation will be held in the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 9:30 am at St. Frances Cabrini RC Church in Piscataway. Barbara will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
In lieu of flowers, Barbara wished for donations to be sent to the St. Peter’s Cancer Center or to FISH, Inc. (Dunellen Area).
