Obituary of Angelina Rafalko

Angelina (Spohn) Rafalko Keansburg, NJ - Angelina (Spohn) Rafalko, 60, passed away at her sister’s home on Monday, February 10, 2020 in South Plainfield after a courageous two year battle with cancer. Born in Elizabeth, she was raised and had resided in South Plainfield before moving to Elizabeth and then settling to Keansburg 30 years ago. Angie was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and loving grandmother. She loved to cook and watch her grandchildren, as well as, take trips to the casino, play Bingo and attend auctions. She had recently been working for Normandie Bakery in Hazlet. She could always be found with glasses on her head and a moppine on her shoulder. Predeceased by her husband Frank who died suddenly in May of 2000 as well as her son, Nicholas who died in March of 2019, Angelina is survived by a large, loving family; two daughters, Tiffany VanHouten and her husband, Mike, Krista Brand and her husband Lenny; two sons, Frank Rafalko and his fiancé, Ryan DaRoja and Matthew Rafalko; her father and mother, Gus and Theresa Guiro – Spohn; six siblings, Michael Spohn and his wife Jan, Theresa Harkey, Roberta Guzenski and her husband Ed, Mark Spohn, Cheryl Pacifico and her husband Jim and Lynda Pullen and her husband Brian, her mother and father in law, Stan and Judy Rafalko and brother in law Robert Rafalko and his wife Lisa and sister in law, Christine Nelson. She will be dearly missed by her five grandchildren; Allie, Mikey, Ryan, Brayden and Emersyn as well as many nieces, nephews extended family members and friends. Family and friends may join together for visitation on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 5-8 pm in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080. At her request, cremation will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2310 Rte 34 Ste 1D, Manasquan, NJ 08736,
