Obituary of Louis E Rossi, Sr.

Middlesex, NJ – Louis E. Rossi, Sr., 77, passed suddenly at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville. Born in Orange to the late Arthur and Nardella (Scarola) Rossi, Louis lived in Belleville before settling to Middlesex forty-eight years ago. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army Reserves and twelve years ago, he retired from the Veterans Home in Lyons where he worked as a computer technician. He loved spending time on social media and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex. Louis leaves behind his loving wife Eleanor Elaine (Cooney) Rossi and their children; Louis Edward, Jr. and his wife Dianne of West Bradford, PA, Lisa Smoke and her husband Edward of Bridgewater and Michelle Rossi also of West Bradford, PA. His five grandchildren; Ian, Matthew, Brianna, Alexandra and Louis will miss him dearly. Louis is also survived by five siblings, sister Paula of West Orange, brothers Anthony and wife Stephanie of Middlesex, Vito and wife Pamela of East Stroudsburg, PA and Arthur and David of Orange, NJ. Due to the current crisis, funeral services for Louis will be held privately. Louis will be buried at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway and a service celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
