Obituary of Sandor P. Korom
Sandor “Alex” Korom, 71, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at home.
Born and raised in Yugoslavia, Alex and his family immigrated to the United States in 1974.
They lived in Doylestown, Pennsylvania and Plainfield for a short time before finally settling to South Plainfield where they have resided for over the past 40 years.
Mr. Korom enjoyed fishing but loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
He is predeceased by two brothers, Paul Korom and Pista Korom; and is survived by his daughter, Elvira Franchak and her husband David of South Plainfield; his three grandchildren, Ashley, Zachary and Luke; his sisters Elizabeth Vajda and her husband Andras of South Plainfield; Theresa Bali and her husband John also of South Plainfield; Veronica Palatinus of Maryland; brother, Frank Korom of Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Piri Korom of Pennsylvania along with many nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.
For those who wish to attend and pay their respects to the Korom family, the visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 1-3pm in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
We ask that all be mindful of the current executive order that requires the proper face coverings (to be provided on your own) along with the social distancing and the 25% indoor maximum capacity.
Cremation Services will be held privately.
