Obituary of Carlos Zuniga
Carlos H. Zuniga, 59 years old, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020, He passed away peacefully with wife Esther Baita by his side after a long battle to Cancer.
Born in Cali, Colombia, Carlos immigrated to the United States when he was 16 years old. He resided in Elizabeth, NJ and Manville, NJ before recently settling to Hillsborough, NJ. Carlos was a self-employed HVAC Contractor; he was dedicated to his business and was known to work long hours to accommodate all his customer needs. He was called “The Bull” by all who knew him for being one the strongest people they knew; he was a long-time faithful member of Zarephath Christian Church.
Carlos loved spending time with his family and friends. Some of the most enjoyable times were when he was the Banker of the family “Roulette Night” with Esther, Roxanne, Angela, Joe Baita and Karam (Uncle Bim). He enjoyed watching his favorite sports; Colombian Soccer, Giants Football and Mets Baseball all while sharing Remy Martin with Esther. Time spent with his grandchildren was also always cherished.
Predeceased by his Father, Hernan Zuniga, he is survived by his Mother Maria E. Doronzoro; his wife Esther of 17 years and her children, Michael Hatcher and his wife Brittany, Britani Hatcher, Breeana Hatcher, Suzanne Calabrese; his children, Carlos Jr. Zuniga, David Zuniga, Chris Cascante and all their grandchildren; Sophia, Anthony, Jovani, Jacob, Marcus, Jonah, Noah, Eli, Alex, Aliana, Aliya, Camilla, Nathanial, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He leaves behind his devoted siblings; Ana Villada, Patricia Donohue, Paola A. Zuniga Gonzalez, Claudia Zuniga, Maria Pilar Gomez, William Doronsoro and his brother in laws, Gersain, Nelson, Conrado, Greg, Juan Carlos whom he loved all very much.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 4-7PM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Sacred Heart RC Church, 149 South Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield NJ 07080 at 10:15AM.
