Obituary of Lamberto R. Adoptante
Lamberto (Bert/Chito) Ronas Adoptante, 67, peacefully passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born and raised in the Tondo District of Manila, Philippines, Lamberto came to the United States in 1988 and lived in North Plainfield prior to relocating to Edison a few years ago.
He recently retired from PNC Bank in Bridgewater and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in South Plainfield.
Bert was a loving, kind, and generous husband, father and brother who was willing to do anything for his family. Growing up in the Philippines, he dropped out of college to help his mother raise and provide for his younger brothers. When he first came to the United States, he worked two full time jobs to support his family.
Bert was a quiet man with a great sense of humor. He loved to cook and often experimented with new dishes. He enjoyed staying home and watching Western films, comedies, and television shows such as Diff'rent Strokes and FPJ's Ang Probinsyano on TFC.
Predeceased by his wife Edna, he is survived by his three children; Shanie, Kristia and Brett Adoptante all of Edison and his five brothers, Francisco Jr. of North Plainfield, Carmelo (Sonia) of Philippines, Perlito (Clare), Leonides (Lucille) and Thomas (Maria) all of North Plainfield.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, from 4-8pm in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Cremation Services will take privately.
Graveside Services along with laying Lamberto’s remains to rest beside his loving wife Edna will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 11:30AM (TENTATIVE) at Hillside Cemetery of Samptown, South Plainfield, NJ
