Obituary of Donald E. Pizzolato

Toms River – Donald E. Pizzolato, 87, formerly of Annandale, NJ pass away, Wednesday February 10, 2021 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Pizzolato of Toms River; step son, Christopher Chappelle and his wife Lisa of Toms River; children, Ina Pizzolato Offert and husband Ronald of Anchorage, AK, David Pizzolato and wife Marilyn of Belmar, Susan Pizzolato Sganga and husband Gabriele of Brick, Donald Pizzolato, Jr. of Jackson, Andrew Pizzolato of Brielle, John Pizzolato of Manchester and former wife, Anne Pizzolato of Brielle.

 

He will also be missed by his fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

 

A successful business man, he owned and operated Don Pizzolato Plumbing & Heating Inc. serving the Middlesex and Piscataway area for 58 years.  He also owned Toby’s Liquor Store in Middlesex and served on the Board of Education for the Middlesex School District in the early 1970’s.  Also an inventor, Donald owned several patents for his inventions.


When asked if he was retired, he would jokingly answer: “I am not retired, I am just tired”.  Donald enjoyed flying his own planes, attending air shows around the country, gardening, skiing, sailing and motorcycling.  He was a long time communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Annandale. 

 

Family and friends may gather at Hillside Cemetery, 1401 Woodland Avenue Scotch Plains, NJ 07060 at 12:30PM.
