Obituary of Dominic Gruver, II
Dominic Gruver II, 25, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 12, 2021 in Piscataway.
Born in Plainfield, Dominic had resided for a short time in Piscataway before settling to South Plainfield where he attended the South Plainfield School s.
After high school, Dominic ventured into many areas of interest including trades, retail sales, hospitality and food before finding his love as an auto mechanic.
Dominic had a love and desire for many things including the outdoors, skateboarding and was passionate about video games. As a true people person, his time spent with family and friends, whether riding four wheelers or attending concerts, was the most important times for him; while the love of music taught him to play the guitar.
He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather Charles “Chick” Gruver who died in 2006.
Surviving are his parents, Dominic and Jeanne (Hare) Gruver and sister, Ashley Gruver all of South Plainfield; paternal grandmother, Philomena Gruver; maternal grandmother and her husband, Marian and Dennis Druzsba; maternal grandfather, Robert Hare. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, Jim and Meg Hare, Charles and Kim Gruver, Carol Holzapfel, Ronnie and Julie Gruver and cousins: Charles, Matthew and Kyle Gruver, Tyler Holzapfel, Alexa and Brian Hare and Chris Yoos.
Funeral Services will begin on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 10:30 AM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
Dominic will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains alongside his grandfather.
Family and friends may attend the visitation hours on Thursday from 5-9 PM in the funeral home.
