Obituary of Linda K. Fernandez

Bound Brook, NJ – Linda K. Fernandez, 70, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – Somerset in Somerville.  Born in Altoona, PA to the late John and Doris (Siegle) Kensinger, Linda has lived in Middlesex, Warren and Bridgewater prior to settling in Bound Brook.

Linda worked for Somerset County Board of Social Services then went on to become a travel agent, working for AAA in Bridgewater and then North Plainfield.  She was active with the Somerville American Legion Post 12, Somerville Eagles and Middlesex Elks Lodge #1488, where she received the honor of being past Elk of the Year.

Linda loved to laugh and share her humor with her friends.  She volunteered countless hours as a clown for the Pediatric Unit of Somerset Medical Center in Somerville.  She loved to travel, especially to Disney World in Florida and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren

Predeceased by the love of her life, John in 2018 after thirty-one years of marriage, Linda leaves behind her three loving sons; Andy of Burlington, VT, Jason and his wife Adrienne of Bridgewater and Robert and his wife Kristen of Somerville.  Her grandchildren Chloe, Julianna, Lucas and Sophie will miss her dearly along with her brother John Kensinger and his wife Patricia of Pennsylvania and the friends she has made over the years working in the travel industry and volunteering within the community.

A gathering celebrating Linda’s life will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 5pm-7pm at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846.  A concluding Funeral Service will be held from the Middlesex Elks Lodge #1488 at 6:45pm.
