To Alex, Jr. and family: Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Alex, Sr. He was my manager in Little League and Babe Ruth league and gave so much of his time and caring to the kids he coached, including rides to and from practices and games for kids that needed it.
He had a wonderful spirit and laugh. I am so glad to have been able to meet with Alex and his dad at a restaurant in 2015 with my brother for a wonderful night of reminiscing. I also loved playing golf with Alex and his dad in 2016 when he was visiting New Jersey.
We begrudgingly learn to accept that we must say “goodbye, for now” to loved ones and friends but Alex’s passing is taking me some time to process, as he was a very important person in my growing up. I’ve stayed in contact with Alex, Jr. through the years and know his dad had a good, long life with a loving family.
I learned many life lessons from Alex, Sr. and will never forget him. Please know that Alex, Jr. and family are in my thoughts and prayers.
