Obituary of Jack Garfunkel
Jack Garfunkel, 66, died suddenly on January 16, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus. Born in Jersey City to the late Robert and Elizabeth (Hurst) Garfunkel, Jack grew up and spent most of his life in NJ, with a recent move to Penn Forest in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.
Jack worked as a Project Analyst for the Prudential Life Insurance Company. He was passionate about movies and was the first amongst his friends to see and review the latest releases. Jack was intrigued with electronics and it always peaked his interest with how things worked. Above all things, Jack had an outstanding sense of humor and a profound morality.
Jack leaves behind his sister Terry Ahmed of Jim Thorpe, PA.
A private mausoleum entombment took place at Lake Nelson Memorial Park in Piscataway.
