Obituary of Frances E. Dilley

Frances E. Dilley, 78, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at home in South Plainfield.

Born and raised in Jersey City, Mrs. Dilley settled to South Plainfield over 50 years ago.

Following her retirement form NBS Card Services in South Plainfield, Mrs. Dilley worked as a Crossing Guard in the Franklin Elementary School area in South Plainfield for a number of years.

An avid bowler, Mrs. Dilley excelled at the sport by achieving several perfect games throughout her bowling career.  In addition to bowling, Frances was also a talendted softball player but later in life, she enjoyed spending time at home in her yard often feeding the several deer that would regularly graze through her property.

She is predeceased by her husband, Russel F. and two sons, Russel A. and Robert M.

Surviving is her son, John and his wife Arlene of Howell; daughter in-law, Mary Dilley of Piscataway; grandchildren, Katelyn Rispoli and her husband Mike, Dana Jones and her husband Derrick and Sara, Joseph, Rebecca and Courtney Dilley and great granddaughter, Raegan Rispoli.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 9:45am in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ followed by a 10:30am funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield.

Cremation Services will follow privately.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 from 5-8pm in the funeral home.

Mrs. Dilley’s cremated remains will be placed to rest with her husband in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.
