Obituary of Beverly Semmer

Please share a memory of Beverly to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Beverly (Durling) Semmer, 84, passed away in the early hours of February 23, 2022.  Born in Princeton to the late Charles and Anna (Lange) Durling, Bev married her husband Charles in 1955, and for the first year of their marriage, they lived in Germany.  They moved back to the US and lived in Middlesex for most of their lives.  They settled to Whiting to enjoy their retirement and in 2020, relocated to The Chelsea in Warren.

Bev worked as a ceramics teacher and nurse’s aide prior to becoming a Sales Associate at Bantam’s 5 &10 in Warren and then Walmart.  While living in Whiting, Bev enjoyed activities with her husband, especially Bocce Ball and calling the numbers during Bingo.  She helped organize dances and delivered the local newspaper within her village.  She also enjoyed crabbing and trips to Seaside Park where they would rent a home with their friends.  Bev enjoyed arts and crafts and never missed an opportunity to travel or cruise with her family and friends.

Full of life, and love, Bev’s greatest accomplishment in life was her family.

Bev is survived by her loving family; husband Charles of 67 years, daughters; Sandra Felix and her husband John of Middlesex and Karen Downey and her husband John of Somerset, granddaughter Sarah Felix and her husband Mahyad Mohammadieh of Bridgewater, grandson John Felix of Middlesex and great-grandson Yaddie.

At the request of Bev’s family, all services will be held private.  In lieu of flowers, donations sent to the Middlesex Rescue Squad would be appreciated.
