Billy, Janet and Family, I am so sorry for the loss of your father. He was like a second dad to me for many years. He and Bev always opened their home to Billy and his friends, offering us support and lots of fun times together be it at the beach, on the boat or just hanging out at home. He was a good and wonderful man. I pray the many happy memories you have of time spent with him offer you comfort and peace in the weeks and years to come.

Our memories of Bill cover many years of friendship. We lived behind each other in South Plainfield for 30 years. We instantly became good friends. Some of our fondest memories are playing cards around the kitchen table and all the picnics, birthdays and other celebrations our families shared together.
We will treasure alll those moments with them.
We are family.

My sincere condolences to Janet and Billy and the kids and the rest of the family. Bill was an amazing neighbor to us and was always there as far back as I can remember growing up. I remember his quiet kindness, always willing to help with anything. I remember his involvement in my Boy Scout troop, especially when I was struggling with making a pine derby racer car. I look forward to a day when i can see his smiling eyes again.

We were 2-doors-over neighbors from my earliest memories, and I hung out with young Bill in their basement doing chemical experiments around the time of high school. Mr. Ball was always kind despite our splattering acids in his basement.
When I was about 10, Mr. Ball found me knocked out on our street, having fallen from my bicycle. He carried me to my home where I eventually awoke. I hope he was as caringly carried off to his eternal home and his family finds peace in this difficult time.

Riley School teachers and students have, I'm sure, many fond memories of Mr. Bill's helping, fixing, finding, and answering anyone's call who asked for a hand! He was a constant and reliable fixture, and he was sorely missed when he retired! Condolences to his Family, and may he rest in eternal peace.
