Obituary of Caroline Schuff
South Plainfield, NJ – Caroline (Raiello) Schuff, 88, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born in Plainfield to the late Antonio and Giovanna (Sabton) Raiello, Caroline moved to South Plainfield thirty-one years ago.
On November 16, 1955, Caroline married the love of her life; Wallace E. Schuff and they had three beautiful children; Walter, Ruth and Carol. She spent her time as a homemaker caring for her family and as the ultimate entertainer, Caroline always hosted parties and bbq where she loved to cook for her family and friends.
She enjoyed trips to the casino, playing poker and will forever be remembered as a loving, caring and giving person who loved everyone she came across.
Predeceased by her husband Wallace, son Walter and siblings; Angie, Molly, Tony and Vincent, Caroline leaves behind her daughters; Carol Esolda and her husband William and Ruth Capwell and her husband Steve; all of Hillsborough. She will be missed by her four grandchildren; Amanda Montagna and her husband David, Alex Esolda and Sean and Adam Capwell as well as her brother Joseph Raiello of South Plainfield.
Visitation will take place at McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 8:30am until 9:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:00am at The Church of the Sacred Heart in South Plainfield with burial following at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
