Obituary of Joseph T. Glus

Please share a memory of Joseph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Joseph T. Glus, 55, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 in Somerset, NJ.

Born to the late Harry and Betty Glus, Joe spent most of his life in the Bronx, before moving to New Jersey in more recent years.

A sports fanatic, Joe looked to make sports his profession. He began his career at Manhattan College where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Broadcasting. Not long after graduation, Joe worked at Bronx Net and Sports Net, before ultimately finding a home at News 12 Bronx as the Bronx High School Sports Reporter and Anchor, where he retired from.

Sports were more than a job for Joe, they were his life. He could state facts about anything Hockey, Baseball or Football, especial when it came to his favorite teams, The Islanders, Yankees and Dolphins. Joe was able to put that knowledge to good use not only in Broadcasting but also when he played in his Strat-O-Matic Baseball League.

Predeceased by his Parents, Joe leaves behind his wife of 15 Years, Dorothy (Bley) Glus.
