Obituary of George J. Bengivenga
On Thursday, June 9, 2022, George J. Bengivenga loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the age of 74.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, he was the son of the late Raffaele and Antoinette (Muglia) Bengivenga. He had resided in Bound Brook, NJ for the past 35 years before recently relocating to Berkeley Heights.
George loved owning his company, Coltwell Industries, and treasured the people who worked for him. He was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of The Church of the Blessed Sacrament in Martinsville, NJ. George lived life to the fullest, and traveled every chance he got.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Raphael A. Bengivenga. Surviving is his beloved wife of 42 years, Janice (Gibriano) Bengivenga; four daughters, Adrienne Vose (Allen) of Stafford Va, Lindsey Klimuc (Thomas) of Bound Brook, NJ, Alissa Robbins (Andrew) of Middlesex, NJ, and Lauren of New Brunswick, NJ; his siblings, Judy DiLeo (Sandy) of South Plainfield, NJ, Phyllis Colucci of Piscataway, NJ, Robert Bengivenga (April) of South Plainfield, NJ, and Anthony Bengivenga (Rachel) of Green Brook, NJ; and his eleven grandchildren, Summer, Autumn, Jonathan, Ryan, Connor, Skylar, Riley, Bailey, Amelia, Samuel and Theodore.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 9AM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass at 10:30AM in Blessed Sacrament, 1890 Washington Valley Rd, Martinsville, NJ 08836.
Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains.
Family and friends may gather on Monday, June 13, 2022 at McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 from 4-8PM.
