Obituary of Patricia Phillips
Patricia Phillips, 77, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
Born in Queens, NY, Pat grew up in Plainfield, NJ before settling in South Plainfield where she lived for the last 55 years.
Pat graduated from Plainfield High School, class of 62. She worked at a local bank before beginning a long career at Flair Bridal Shop in Plainfield where she helped countless young ladies become beautiful brides. Pat later retired from TriCat Imaging in Edison, NJ.
Pat was blessed with many talents, including being a wonderful cook, baker and gifted seamstress. She was an avid gardener, bookworm, and loved relaxing in her pool. She spent as much time as possible with her family and took great joy in attending her grandchildren’s many theatrical performances. She was a die-hard NY Yankees fan and never missed a game. In addition, she always enjoyed spending time at the South Plainfield Senior Center.
Pat was predeceased by her sister, Mary Bender, and her mother, Frances Sydorko. Surviving are her two daughters, Marie Castricone and her husband, Dan Castricone of Tuxedo, NY; and Roseanne Phillips and her partner, Maureen Halloran of South Plainfield; three grandchildren, Daniel, Samantha, and John Castricone, step granddaughter, Morgan Halloran; and her brother-in-law, Stan Bender
Pat loved her dogs, especially Max, her companion for many years. She also leaves behind her grand-dogs, Luna, Eddie, Bella and Scout.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2022 from 2-5pm in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 25, at 11am at the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 47 Island Rd. Mahwah, NJ 07430.
